Simply put, City of Rocks is a cragging mecca. It is located a few miles north of the Utah border in rural Idaho. There are few places in the country with extensive and concentrated quality bouldering, free soloing, trad climbing, or sport climbing. The climbing opportunities are within easily accessed camping sites. The drive-up campsites are within the crags and are just a flip-flop stroll with morning coffee away. It is no surprise that the area receives worldwide recognition. The City of Rocks offers a wide variety of climbing, so it is perfect for families and learning the basics of climbing. It is also ideal for more advanced trad climbing techniques on the area's many crack and flake-based routes.

Climb the best routes the City of Rocks has to offer over two or more days. Outings can be fully guided or focused on skills and instruction based on the desires of the group. Focused skills can include: top-rope site management; sport lead or traditional climbing; and face, crack, and slab climbing techniques.

Trad Climbing Camp
Learn and practice the fundamentals of trad climbing while immersed in the City of Rocks for three days. This semi-guided affair is focused on climbers with a bit of introductory trad climbing experience but want guidance on how to progress further into the sport as a more competent trad leader. Students will get group instruction on the ground regarding anchors and transitions, have a chance to climb with a guide 2:1 for a portion of the clinic and if comfortable lead or follow with other students.
