Sierra grew up in Bellingham, WA where the love for powder skiing and alpine climbing really took hold with the North Cascades as a backyard playground. These early experiences drove her career towards a pathway in guiding where she can share these wild places with others. Sierra now spends Northern Hemisphere winters based out of SLC, UT working as a ski guide, pro patroller, and teaching  avalanche courses. In the off-season, Sierra splits her time chasing winter down to the Southern Hemisphere, working as a snow safety tech in New Zealand, and as a lead alpine guide in the North Cascades, WA. Sierra holds a PRO 2 Avalanche Technician certificate, a Professional Avalanche Search & Rescue certificate, and is an AMGA Apprentice Ski and Alpine Guide.
