Jason brings to the table a lifetime of experience exploring the mountains, deserts and rivers of Colorado and Utah; and after over 25 years of working as a guide, his passion for recreation remains unwavering. Communicating through a raw honesty and at times undue exuberance, Jason’s poignant humor and provocative insight can simply be contagious. Work and play have led Jason to the Appalachian, Sierra Nevada, Southern Cascades, Wasatch, Uinta, Sawatch and San Juan Mountains, as well as to the Southern Alps of New Zealand, the German Alps, Costa Rica and to China. When not guiding or teaching for Backcountry Pros, Jason is the Snow Safety Director and Lead Guide for Park City Powder Cats, as well as being an Adjunct Instructor for the Westminster College Outdoor Education Leadership program.
